General: Series
#100 French Patio Doors shall be manufactured by DorAlum,
Miami FL. and shall
meet or exceed the South Florida Building Code and ASCE
7-88 on certain elevations.
Materials: All
frame and door members consist of .078" wall
thickness extruded aluminum alloy 6063-T6. Threshold
shall be the bumper type with bulb vinyl weather stripping,
4"x
1/2" and 13⁄8" at sill.
Construction: Frames
shall be coped with four screw splines and
one door stop fin used at head
and jamb. Corners are butt joined. Door stiles consist
of 13/4" x 41⁄8" face with a
.078" wall
thickness extruded aluminum and a built in door stop.
Top and bottom rails are secured to stiles with 3⁄8"-16x
full length steel
rod using 4" long jamb stiffener,
a 3⁄8" nut and washer at each end.
An additional open back adapter,
15⁄8" x 43⁄16", is used at intermediate
fixed vertical mullions.
Weather
stripping: Double row of pile with integral
plastic fin at each panel bottom rail. Single row
of bulb vinyl
at each lock stile of double panel door. Double row
of bulb vinyl at frame sill.
Hardware: A
non-corrosive flush bolt is standard for inactive leafs.
Active leaf pre-bored for double
lockset
21⁄8" for a 23⁄8" backset (Gov.161).
Three heavy-duty, 1⁄8" thick extruded aluminum
butt hinges, 77⁄8" long with 5⁄16" plated
steel rod. Anti lift-out pins. Glazing: Door panels pocket glazed using a flexible
glazing spline.
Finish: All
aluminum members will receive an ESP finish. Standard
color is white. |
